More than 800 Superdrug stores throughout the U.K. offer click and collect services, and any item they have in the store is available online to purchase and pick up in person. At Superdrug, the service is free, and there is no charge to have an item shipped to a nearby location if it isn’t already in stock.
When you order an item online from Superdrug, it’s ready to be picked up within five working days of purchase. Generally, items are ready sooner, and of course any items already in stock are immediately available for pickup. The five-day period does not include weekends or bank holidays, and the stated time frame may be altered due to unexpected security checks and validation delays.
Superdrug.com sends out three emails, including one for order confirmation, another for dispatch notification and a third when your item is ready to be picked up. They ask that you wait to receive this third email before visiting the store to pick up your order. It will come no longer than three days after you receive the email notifying you that the item has shipped. Occasionally, these emails go into your junk mail folder, so if you don’t receive them as expected, check your spam email for correspondence. You can mark these emails as “not spam” to prevent them going to your junk mail folder in the future.
When picking up your order from Superdrug, you need to bring your proof of purchase and some form of identification. For a proof of purchase, you can print out the order confirmation email you receive, which is the first email of the three. As for identification, you can bring a photo ID, a bank statement, the credit card used to purchase your order or a utility bill with your name on it. If another person is collecting your order for you, that person must bring a letter bearing your signature in addition to one of the other forms of identification. Without these conditions being met, Superdrug cannot provide your order to you. If you don’t have a printer, you can simply show the clerk your confirmation email from a smartphone or mobile device.
After you receive your third email, your order is kept at Superdrug for 21 days. If you don’t pick up the order within that time frame, Superdrug refunds your purchase within 14 days. The total amount is charged back to your credit or debit card or PayPal account.
Superdrug accepts returns on most items within 14 days of purchase. There is no extra charge for returns, and they provide refunds for all merchandise except for perishable items, medications, personalised items containing a name or monogram and items that can’t be accepted for health reasons, such as toothpaste or bandages. Items with a broken seal cannot be returned unless they were damaged during delivery or incorrectly delivered. Only unused items in their original condition can be returned for a refund, and all click and collect merchandise must be returned for free through the post. Superdrug does not accept returns at the location from which you picked up your order.
